Prudential

Denied but Not Denied but I am Denied

I went out in Aug. 2022 for neck pain. After seeing a neurologist I had to get an ACDF C5-7, it was also determined I had carpal tunnel in my right hand and bulging disk in L4 -L5. I never had any issues until I hit the 2 year mark. I was called and told I would lose by disability benefits in 11/24. I was told she would review my claim, pull medical records, in August to see if things had changed. (I'm 55 was appt federal disability due to my neck). She said I really needed to get a capacity questionnaire submitted if all possible. Now they have one that was done but SSD IME doctor. Now they want another one. They couldn't tell me where I would find one. I just really needed it. Now the person who did the 1st was unreachable.

After talking to Drs and Chiropractors I found someone who would do it for 675.00. so I requested reimbursed from Prudential. They informed me they would only do a reimbursement to the person who did the evaluation. However, since they already determined my benefits will end in Nov. I now have to pay out of pocket without being reimbursed. That lead to me telling her what the other person had told me. They would look at it again in August to make sure nothing had changed. I could also submit my capabilities questionnaire at that time. I just really needed to find someone and get it done. She did not tell me that when I was initially contacted that I had to have one and I could be reimbursed. They didn't tell me that the letter she sent or the call I received wanting to know if I got the letter, that it was too late at this point to do anything without an appeal. I'm livid. I was told half truths, outright lied to and deceived. Their classification of disability were different than SSD's. They will not review anything at this point I'm required to submit all my medical records along with my appeal and my capabilities questionnaire costing me 675.00 when they are the ones requiring it. I was never told I was required. I was told they really would like to have one of it all possible.

I'm so frustrated. Now they deem I am fit to work in a restricted setting for just 60% of the wages I was making.
