Get to Know Attorney Alex Palamara
I had to retire from my career due to a bad back that restricted me from performing my duties. I had LTD insurance and after a few years of receiving monthly benefits from this insurance company, they notified me that my benefits were terminated stating that I don’t qualify due to my duties not fitting into some “national job description” and a nurse had deemed me eligible to go back to work. It’s a crushing feeling to have this told to you over the phone with hardly any information given. Luckily, I came across Dell Disability Lawyers and spoke with Attorney Palamara who calmed me down and stated they would take my case. Within a couple of months my benefits were restored, and I had piece of mind. I cannot thank Attorney Palamara and the staff at Dell Disability Lawyers enough for their professionalism, no nonsense approach, personal and timely communication and quick ability to litigate my case.
I would like to thank Dell Disability Lawyers for taking care of my case and help me get the insurance coverage that I was rightfully in need of. Specially, I would like to thank Attorney Alexander Palamara and right-hand legal assistant, Sonia Nogueira, who made this process less stressful. They answered all my questions and kept me informed every step of the way.
Don’t get me wrong. They never promised or told me that I was going to win my case, as no one can guarantee that for you. What they did do, was letting me know that they were working hard for me and to keep positive. Something that I recommend everyone to do is to subscribe to their YouTube channel. That will give you an idea on how they operate and why they (for most of their cases) win their cases.
Since I was awarded disability, I am still having surgeries and thanks to them, I’ve been able to cover all those expenses.
Warm regards to everyone at Dell Disability Lawyers!
Can’t say enough about the wonderful experience we had working with Alex Palamara and Danielle Lauria! We would not have achieved the results we did without their help. They were amazing to work with, professional, courteous and guided us through the entire process. Don’t know what we would have done without them! We highly recommend Alex, Danielle and the entire firm. They are amazing!
Working with Alex and Sonia with Dell Disability attorneys made my difficult situation easier to handle knowing I had someone on my side. They are very attentive and worked very hard in the appeals process.
I’m extremely satisfied with the experience I have had with this firm from day one. The lawyer who has handled my case, Alex, is very efficient and attentive to all my questions and concerns. They are always aware of how my case has gone and they care about my health. I feel optimistic with them because they are very attentive during the process of my claim. I would not hesitate to recommend families and friends if in any situation they need their services. Kathleen as well has been very well and assisted me with this case. I highly appreciate everything they have done for me.
I have had nothing but a great experience with Dell Disability Law Firm. Mr. Alex Palamara and his team went above and beyond my expectations. They will respond to emails and phone calls in a timely manner. Thank you once again for taking my case.
Attorney Alex Palamara and paralegal Danielle are both consummate professionals. Since the inception of my experience with them both they were very attentive thru the entire process and settled my case in a timely fashion.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I would unequivocally recommend attorneys Dell Disability Lawyers.
What could we do to improve?
They don’t need improvement.
I wanted to thank you for taking a chance on my husband’s case when no one else would. I knew it would be an uphill battle, but I’m pleased with the outcome. As I said, it’s like found money. I really do appreciate everything that Mr. Alex Palamara and Vanessa did during this process.
In the last five years, I have been greatly helped in all aspects in obtaining and keeping benefits. I could not have been able to do this without the help of Alex Palamara, Vanessa, and the Dell & Schaefer Lam Firm.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I highly recommend Alex Palamara and Dell & Schaefer for help with your long term disability claim. Without their help, I could not have survived the complexity of obtaining LTD benefits. Alex Palamara’s prompt answers to difficult questions, knowledge, and experience made a great help also.
What could we do to improve?
I have been very pleased with you service.
I called this firm a few months ago completely disparaged due to a company cutting off disability benefits at a time that nearly caused me to lose everything.
Attorney Alex Palamara and Danielle worked hard to reach an amicable settlement and my case was settled a few months later. This is a good firm and the specific expertise in disability claims saved me countless hours of hassle at a time when an already fragile state existed.
Thank you Mr. Palamara and Danielle.
I have nothing but good things to say about how my buyout was handled with my disability claim. The level of professionalism was amazing. All of my questions and concerns were answered either by Danielle L. or Alex P. in such a timely manner and with such care I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone needing to approach their provider with buyout options.
They did a fantastic job communicating between the provider and me, always keeping my best interest at heart and always answering my many many questions. They really did take most of the stress out of this whole situation. I would give them a 10 out of 10 for every step of this crazy journey. Thank you so much for helping me through this.
After a very long and frustrating ordeal to keep my LTD payments coming I decided to seek assistance from and attorney. After much research and asking those in the legal profession Dell & Schaefer seemed to be the top choice. I reached out and Alex Palamara was the attorney assigned to my case. All I can say is the experience was outstanding. Both Alex and his Paralegal, Danielle Lauria were excellent to work with. They were very kind, concerned, understanding of my frustrations and treated me with the utmost respect. Communication was excellent with regular updates and telling me what I could expect in each stage of the process.
Alex was also very straight forward with what to expect and no pie in the sky promises or expectations were made. In the end we won our case and I believe it was solely due to their experience and knowledge of not only the laws but the insurance companies as a whole. I would highly recommend them and am very grateful for the help they afforded to me.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I would recommend Dell & Schaefer especially Alex Palamara whom I worked with because of integrity, knowledge and understanding what their client has been/going through. The service provided was outstanding and ethical. Regardless of how many cases they are handling when you’re talking with them they make you feel if yours is the only one and most important. Bottom line they are very great attorneys.
What could we do to improve?
Honestly I think back and don’t think you should change a thing.
Alex was very compassionate and professional in handling my case. Losing my disability caused extreme financial hardship and took a toll on my emotional health. Struggling with MS every day is a challenge, but Alex helped me greatly and was able to get my benefits reinstated as well as later he was able to get a lump sum settlement.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
They are caring, compassionate and will fight to protect you. I always felt well supported and trusted Alex to fight hard to get my disability benefits. I wish I would have had an attorney like Alex from the very beginning of my disability claim. I was always harassed on a monthly basis from the insurance company with needing constant forms completed and also constant stupid questions like “what do you do in a typical day?” One time they even asked me if I walked my sister’s dog. The constant harassment took away from me being able to focus on my health. MS is a constant battle. If you have a chronic, incurable illness you need an attorney like Alex to fight to protect you. This way you can focus on getting better.
What could we do to improve?
You did everything perfectly. I always trusted you, and I wish I would have hired you from the first day that I was diagnosed with MS.
My experience with Alex & Michal was life changing! They are amazing they got my benefits returned within 8 months! They are very understanding and SUPER patient dealing with me was worth a gold medal! I owe so much.
Working with Alex and Michal is like reaching the light at the end of a dark tunnel. Their knowledge and professional job got my benefits returned to me quickly. I feel I was so blessed to have made the call. Thank you!
If you are here reading reviews, you are looking for help. They are here for us. I promise! Please call them! I recommend Attorneys Dell & Schaefer! At that point in my life I felt worthless and lost. Alex and Michal were compassionate and understanding professionals. The best choice I made my whole life!
Alex is a true hard working, smart attorney who sets realistic goals and pursues them. His perseverance is remarkable and that is what you need when working with Unum type LTD companies. They try to offer you peanuts while you are out of work for 4-5 years. I am glad that we found Alex to represent us and once again sincere thanks to Alex and his team to resolve this finally so I can move on to my next phase of my life in healing process.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Hard working and dedicated.
What could we do to improve?
Nothing I can think of.
It was a pleasure working with attorneys that return your calls in a timely manner. Alex Palamara was great. He listened to me and heard what I was saying. Either he or Danielle Lauria kept me in the loop at all times. I would definitely use Dell and Schaefer again and ABSOLUTELY recommend their services to anyone who needs excellent competent attorneys.
I was at a dead end with my disability claim. Cigna, after paying for a while discontinued it. I tried another lawyer, it was again denied. I was about to give up, unable to continue my Field Engineering job with medical problems and two special need children at home, not knowing what to do next.
A Friend recommended Dell & Schaefer and I called them. They responded quickly and went in to action. Five months later my disability claim was approved and one less thing to worry about in my life.
They are straight forward, there are no surprises as far as their fees and they communicate with you, explain everything to you along the way.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
They know their business, they understand what you are going thru and they are results oriented.
What could we do to improve?
I am happy with everything they have done and the way it was done.
I can’t find the right words to describe how grateful I am for the wonderful job you have to get my long term disability claims approved. I did file claims on my own at first but both got denied. It was heartbroken because I did pay monthly premiums for ten years.
When I got sick and not able to work, the insurance company said that I don’t qualify for any benefits. Atty. Alex and his angels were heaven-sent to me. Thank you for taking both of my cases. I was at my very last breath and just don’t know what else to do and had no where else to turn to until I got hold of you, wonderful people. You are definitely a blessing and a breath of much needed fresh air. I may not be the most profitable client of yours but I would like to tell you that I am one of your most grateful client. Thank you so much for helping me get what I deserved from the greedy insurance companies. Without you, I wouldn’t think the insurance companies won’t pay me anything. They will keep finding ways to deny my claims. Again, thank you for a job well done.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
They know how to get your claims approved.
What could we do to improve?
There’s nothing to improve. Just continue what you’re doing to help people like me get their benefits approved.
Alex and Sonia his paralegal are excellent. They represent Dell & Schaefer as a professional firm. I would recommend them to anyone. Very prompted and courteous. Thanks Again!
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
A professional firm. They do what they promise. No fooling around and excuses.
What could we do to improve?
Nothing at this time.
My experience with Dell & Schaefer, the attorney handling my case, Alexander Palamara, and his is paralegal, Sonia, was very positive. They kept me informed, obtain my records for me when needed and truly did work for my best interest. They also had a good sense of humor. Alex was able to reach a goal I had set for him in settling my case. The process is slow but not because of the law firm, that is just the way things are everywhere in adversarial proceedings.
Overall, I’m very happy and glad I chose Dell & Schaefer to handle my legal issues.
Thank you!
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
You are not just a file sitting in a filing cabinet. You’re a real person to them, they mean business and take care of business.
What could we do to improve?
There is nothing that I could specifically point to.
My Dell & Schaefer experience spanned over 7 years and it was in one word “Relief”. A fantastic relief. Why relief? Because dealing with my disability insurance company was nightmarish and D&S instantly relieved me of all the worry. From the very first conversation I had with Greg Dell, on a Sunday I believe, thru his help, he and his most competent team including Alex Palamara, Danielle Lauria, and Anneli De-Cardenas removed the proverbial 800 pound gorilla off my shoulders. Greg and Alex spent an initial, and draining 3 hours listening in while an insurance rep grilled me on an in-home interview. This was after they had filmed me on two separate previous occasions. They even followed me thru Walmart, cameras on! Yes folks, they will try to catch you doing anything outside the limits of your disability. They don’t want to pay you!
My Dell & Schaefer attorneys told me from the start, be honest when you talk to the insurance company people on that interview. I did and from that interview on, D&S handled everything regarding my policy. I was able to sleep at night knowing I had expert representation. Everything from my disability company went through Dell & Schaefer. This was a huge burden, relieved!
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I recommend D&S because I know there are legitimately disabled people, like me, who haven’t a clue on how to deal with an insurance company looking for ways NOT to pay. D&S represent. They know this business. They provide expert counsel. They not only act as attorneys, but they also empathize with their clients. They’re accessible. They’re very reasonable in their fees. Trust me, they were worth every penny. I recommend D&S, so that others can feel relaxed and know that D&S has their backs and will go to battle for them when necessary.
What could we do to improve?
Stay the same. You guys were wonderful, very approachable, true friends.
I am glad that I found your law firm on the web via Youtube.com. I want to thank you for all your help in obtaining my disability claim and waiver of premium. It feels like it was the right choice for me to accept their buyout so I don’t have to worry about being denied my claim in the future.
Even more important it feels great to have beaten the evil empire of Cigna.
I wish all your clients success in fighting these people. It’s worth the effort no matter how sick you feel.
Thanks again for all the hard work and good luck in your future.
I applied for and was denied my LTD insurance a little over two years ago. I was distraught, I had no idea they could just refuse you. My Social Security disability lawyer gave me Dell & Schaefer’s name and phone number. I called the next day, and they immediately called me back and set up an appointment the next day, for me to speak to Alex Palamara on the phone. They are located in Florida.
He was extremely empathetic and friendly. He took all of my information and he and Danielle Lauria, who works with the lawyers, prepared a statement to the insurance carrier. They also send me copies of everything that they send out. They sent a very professional and informative letter explaining why I should not be denied the insurance. The insurance company immediately decided to pay me the insurance that I signed up for.
I have always received quick information and phone calls, whenever I request assistance. They did have to do another appeal for me, recently. It was very involved, but written up extremely well. I was offered a settlement, and they were even able to get the in Insurance company to increase it for me. I would recommend Mr. Palamara and this law firm to anyone who has a problem with their LTD insurance. I don’t have a single complaint about the way I was treated. I’m extremely thankful for their help over the last few years.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
They were always polite, professional and friendly when I spoke with anyone in the office. I always received a quick response to any questions I had. The letters and appeals that Mr. Palamara sent out were extremely well done. I can’t think of a single reason that anyone could want another lawyer.
What could we do to improve?
I have no suggestions, I can’t think of any improvements that can be made.
When I contacted Dell & Schaefer the attorney who I spoke with immediately put me at ease. All phone calls were answered and all email questions received a prompt reply. I never felt brushed off or dismissed. When you can’t fight for yourself, it’s nice to know that a team of caring professionals are fighting for you.
What could we do to improve?
Nothing really. Working with your firm was a very good experience. Mr. Palamara and Ms. Arriaga always treated me with respect, even when I would panic or stress about the case.
If you think the insurance company is going to be FAIR, you are WRONG! Get an attorney, I recommend Dell & Schaefer. They entered my life approximately 4 years ago. I was in the mid years of my life, moving along routinely finishing up my 29th year of continuous employment as a professional Acute Care Registered Nurse, looking ahead to planning my future and possibilities ahead of me. I had planned to work at least another 15 years and maybe more if I could. I was hitting the peak of my value in the health system that employed me and I loved my job. Income was never an issue for me, as in my profession I could always find work and make as much income as I needed raising a family etc… But just incase, my father always taught me to have a safety net. So every year for 29 years, around benefit time I would fill out the forms and check the boxes for STD and LTD and pay the monthly dues for those policies in case I would ever need them, never expecting to use them. Well life had other plans for me.
My illness began slowly, I made adjustments to my work schedule and life schedule hoping that would allow me to stay employed. I didn’t want to give up the money, my benefits, the years experience I had, the value I had to contribute etc… That lasted for about a year and half then suddenly my body just couldn’t do it anymore. My illness exacerbated, necessitating me to leave work. I went out on my STD policy and initially Aetna the carrier of the policy was cooperative and approved my claim. After several months when I didn’t improve my STD policy was over and it was time to begin my LTD. At this point Aetna suddenly switched and began to deny all my claims for the same illness they had previously approved. I was shocked and bewildered, I could not believe how Aetna could be doing such a thing. What was happening, how could they just say NO! This wasn’t fair, I paid into this for 29 years… and was lost as to what to do.
I did some research on line, and found out this was a common thing all insurers were doing to people who had these kind of policies. What a rip off I thought. Here I thought I had a safety net. I was so angry and realised I was disillusioned about this system and having a safety net. I sat and cried fluctuating between anger, sadness, worry, the gamut of feelings. What should I do I thought, I need help and help fast. I couldn’t live without income. I did some more research and found Dell & Schaefer, I went through their website reading all the information and decided I need to call them to see if they could help me. My illness was not listed as a common illness for disability approval.
When I called them, they put me through immediately to someone and took some information. Later that day an attorney called me back and went through my situation explaining to me all my options and that they could help me. I wasn’t ready to make a decision on the spot, so I told them I would call them back. I was skeptical because at this point I didn’t trust anyone for numerous reasons and felt like all the systems I had faith in were failing me. Is this going to be another rip off, I thought?
After thinking about it for a day or two and consulting friends and family, I nervously called back Dell & Schaefer and I told them my concerns, we talked some more they never pressured me. I reluctantly agreed, not because of something they said, it was my own issue with trust now clouding my decision. Reflecting back that was the best decision I ever made. My attorney in the firm was Alex Palamara, I dealt with him exclusively and he always called me back, emailed me and let me know what was happening promptly. Nothing was ever too small for him to answer and he had compassion when I would complain about how unfair Aetna was being with their denial of my case. And YES, they did deny, and are still trying to find ways to deny me to this day 4 years later. Through the hard work and timely action taking by the attorney my appeal was reversed and my claim continues to be approved with the help of the attorney. I no longer have random calls from Aetna asking me repetitive questions that I already answered numerous times and the firm continues to coordinate the yearly reviews with Aetna and my physicians. I faced another denial at the two year mark when the policy changes the definition of gainful employment. Yea isn’t that beauty they sneak into the policy that you have really don’t understand. Alex anticipated that fought that and I have had a seamless benefit check now for 4 straight years.
I will not give up my representation, as educated as I am, in no way am I versed in disability law and the new ways insurance companies try to get out of paying the policy we have paid our hard earned money into for a safety net. I know things will not be easy and I will have to fight to continue my benefits, having Dell & Schaefer gives me security that someone will be there fighting for me and my benefits. I can’t thank them enough, I find them to be prompt, compassionate, knowledgeable and very fair with their fees. If you are thinking about hiring an attorney for representation you will be pleased with this firm. As a side note, my last years of employment I worked for a large hospital system, my job was coordinating with the hospital, physicians and Insurance companies to make sure the hospital would get paid. Specifically, I worked on denials of patients inpatient hospital bills. The insurance company would deny claims for the most unbelievable reasons. They know some people will just give up and not fight, that’s what they are counting on. I didn’t think they would do the same thing with STD and LTD policies, I was wrong and naive. Do yourself a favour, HIRE an attorney immediately from the beginning, otherwise the carrier will jerk you around till you give up, and you may inadvertently say or fill out a form wrong or miss a date and boom you are denied. You will never get your benefit you paid into. Hire Dell & Schaefer.
What could we do to improve?
At this time I can’t think of anything.
Very professional and competent attorney. Mr. Palamara was able to win my appeal for my long term disability benefits in what I consider a very short period of time. I will enjoy working with him with any reviews I may have in the future. Having him handle my claim has taken a huge amount of stress off of me. I would also like to thank his staff. They were great to work with.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Very competent and professional.
What could we do to improve?
I really cannot think of any improvements. It has been a very good experience.
I have been on LTD, since Aug 2016, and Cigna is my LTD Insurance Company. I received a couple of payments from Cigna, without any issues, but then the payments stopped in Oct, at which time I was informed by Cigna that they were “looking into” my claim. Cigna stopped contacting me, would not even return calls or emails, but finally contacted me in mid-December to inform me that they would not be continuing with my claim.
I contacted Dell & Schaefer in January, at which time I began working with Attorney Alex Palamara, Disability Appeal Specialist Randa Escayg, and Legal Assistant Kathy Bordes. These folks were always kind, professional, understanding, did a great job of explaining everything to me, and most importantly I could tell that they truly cared about the situation my wife and I had unfortunately found ourselves in.
I fully understand the feeling of being overwhelmed, when you are first denied, that David vs Goliath feeling of you against some huge conglomerate, that powerless and helpless feeling that overcomes you when you are sick and injured and at your most vulnerable. The only things that you are able to focus on are saving your family’s home, doing whatever you can to take care of them, all while you should be focusing your energy on getting better, as much as you are able, so that you can recover your life to what it once was, returning your current life of overwhelming stress and chaos to some semblance of normalcy. Well, as soon as I began working with Alex, Randa, and Kathy, I immediately felt better, like I finally had someone in my corner fighting for me, somebody who cared, and somebody who would stand up to that giant corporation, and make things right.
Alex won my appeal for me, and Cigna is in the process of restoring my full benefits, retro back to October. I cannot describe to you the feeling of joy and elation the moment my wife and I were notified we had won. To those currently dealing with a LTD company, and all of the madness that entails, just know that there is a light at the end of the long dark tunnel. You do still have hope, and you can certainly do no better than to have the wonderful folks at Dell & Schaefer in your corner fighting for you!!!!
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
From my initial contact, to current time, all of my dealings with Alex, Randa, and Kathy have been very professional, and I always felt that my case mattered, that what my family and I were being put through, knowingly and intentionally by Cigna, mattered. The feeling of security cannot be overstated, especially during a time when you need to be focusing on healing, and not on how your next mortgage payment is going to be made.
What could we do to improve?
I cannot think of anything. I was impressed from my initial contact with Alex, through my initial correspondence with Randa, and that feeling continues.
I am so glad I signed with Alex and the team at Dell & Schaefer. Lupus hit me like a brick wall, completely disrupting my life. The physical changes and ailments, treatments and pain were scary enough. I could not have dealt with the insurance company alone. Alex and his paralegal Danielle helped me through everything. They explained every step of the paperwork to me and even encouraged me while I was in the hospital. Best of all, they got the insurance company to settle while I focused on my health.
During a very difficult time fighting to receive compensation for an injury I found some comfort in the reassurance that I was not fighting alone. Alex and Michal kept me up to date with what was going on and what steps were next to move forward. During the mediation process Alex navigated this situation strategically at the same time reassuring me that we would leave with some success.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I would recommend them because during this difficult time they treated me with respect and dignity.
Mr. Palamara and his staff were professional and personable. I am pleased that I got to meet the staff and the mediator in person. After meeting the staff and Mr. Palamara I realized this is a group of individuals that have the best interest in the client and their priorities are right. If you want a positive experience, positive outcome with little stress this is the firm to hire.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Professional and personable. Mr. Palamara, Danielle and the entire staff are great people with a vested interest with the client’s best outcome.
What could we do to improve?
Absolutely nothing! Thank you.
My experience with Mr. Palamara was excellent. Mr. Palamara was always quick to respond to any questions I had and he was 100% dedicated to resolving my case with the best outcome for me that could he could obtain. He was always professional, courteous and understanding as well.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Highly professional, courteous to clients, quick to respond and they get results!
From the initial consultation through a successful resolution of my disability case, Alex and the team were professional and compassionate.
The total team worked with me to maximize the efforts and leave no stones unturned to make a logical, fact driven and human case to support our appeal.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
The law firm is more than just business. I received calls and emails after surgeries to check up on me, and a very personal relationship developed.
To win is absolute and the kindness of this team goes above and beyond.
Mr. Palamara was great! He fought for the best settlement I could hope for. Even when I thought about giving up to the big insurance company, he told me not to quit. I am truly grateful to him and also to his assistant Venessa Arriga. Thanks Again.
What could we do to improve?
Nothing.
Painless. Everything was handled at Dell & Schaefer’s end. Alex was an absolute pleasure to work with. I always felt like I was just as important as any other client. Never felt like I was being brushed aside like some lawyers make you feel. Everything was handled in a timely manner with better than expected results. I VERY MUCH recommend to anyone in need of legal representation.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Great representation and handled everything without needing my presence in their office.
What could we do to improve?
I can’t think of any improvements.
Working with Alex was a pleasure, before coming to Dell & Schaefer I had been thru 3 different firms before. The other firms never returned calls and did not keep me informed. When I finally found Dell & Schaefer namely Alex he took on my case with a week to answer an appeal, at first he was hesitive but took on my case and always kept me informed and up to date of how we were progressing. After some time we actually finally came to a settlement which as it seemed was never in sight before.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
They work for the patient and understand disability.
What could we do to improve?
Nothing that I see.
At first I wanted a local lawyer that I could talk to in person, however, I could not find one in my own state that would take an ERISA disability case. Once I contacted Dell & Schaefer and talked to my assigned lawyer (Alex) my fears went away. Alex was very attentive to the things that I told him and quickly returned all my e-mails and/or phone calls. He set my mind at ease and worked very hard on my case to ensure a favorable settlement. He provided me with the right advice to settle outside of the courtroom when I was overly aggressive in my approach. He was also able to obtain a favorable settlement for me when I was sure it would not be possible when I started down this path. One of the important factors for my taking this approach was I didn’t have to pay anything to Dell & Schaefer unless they won my case and they allowed me to decide what I was willing to accept in the end.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
They get results, but they also listen to the clients requests and concerns.
I believe Alex Palamara is a real life hero. He’s the kind of human that sticks up for the “little guy”. All too often in our society we might think of dentist and attorneys in a negative light. However, when one finds themselves in a terrible place, you pray for help, thankfully, I found Alex!
What could we do to improve?
I realize there is always room for improvement but in this instance, I fail to recall anything about this experience (besides not having the battle in the first place) that I would change in regards to my representation.
My experience of working with Dell & Schaefer was very positive. After working with another attorney who I did not feel worked as hard as he could have in my behalf, I found this firm to be everything they said they would be. My questions were answered all the way through the process, and my input was respected.
I came to Dell & Schaefer utterly defeated by my private disability insurance carrier. I was devastated that they were denying all responsibility in my long term benefits despite having paid into their horrible program for almost 20 years. When I talked with Alex, all of a sudden I had hope of not only closure but of compassion for my situation. He explained everything to me. Held my hand when I needed hand holding and he and his assistants provided me with information anytime I asked. Should I ever need assistance again I would not hesitate to contact Alex or recommend him. This law firm and Alex was definitely a beacon in what has continued to be a horrible time in my life.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
They are compassionate, on top of your case and thoroughly explain everything that is happening and why. They definitely earn their fees and do not “nickel and dime” every time you ask a question. They are personable and everyone from the attorneys to the support staff all up and down the “line” are all the same. Everyone I dealt with were all equally professional and compassionate and that is not an easy balancing act.
What could we do to improve?
I do not know. My experience was very positive and I do not have anyway of complaining with Alex or Dell & Schaefer. My private disability company was horrific, but in hiring you to represent me, this experience ended in a much more positive way than it started. When you are disabled and in my case suddenly so, you’re made to feel less than as a person. Or as a hypochondriac. You find yourself constantly trying to defend why you aren’t a drudge on society and why you’re not just looking for a handout because you “can’t deal” with life. In dealing with Alex and Dell & Schaefer, for the first time I felt as if I didn’t have to justify the fact that yes, my body is sick, yes I worked damn hard for being able to pay into a long term disability insurance crappy as it may be, and yes it’s ok to receive the payout without being made to feel like scum. I am truly grateful for the outcome of my case and for Alex and his team.
Mr. Palamara was very professional and without his help I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere. The disability insurance company refused to pay me anything and Mr. Palamara got me a settlement.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
The know their business and are very professional.
I contacted Dell & Schaefer and was referred to Alex Palamara. I sent him the information that I had. The next day I got a phone call from Alex and was told I had a good possibility that of collecting on my policy. I was kept up to speed on the whole process. I really did not think I was going to collect a thing (the insurance co. does a good job of convincing you to give up). What was I going to do… make the insurance company mad because I didn’t believe them? Alex kept in contact with me and when the offer came in, I signed and a check was issued shortly.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I would definitely recommend Dell & Schaefer because they were prompt, explained my options without making me feel stupid. I felt they knew and responded to my needs.
I learned in March 2014, that my LTD insurance provider was auditing my case. Two weeks later I received a denial letter. I didn’t even have time to provide the info requests to my doctors much less have them completed and sent back to the LTD company. I promptly called the rep who fumbled about for a few minutes then stated that the letter was mistakenly sent to me. The rep (I’ll refer to him as L) was often rude and aggressive even bordering on threatening on the phone.
They did not contact me from early June, I think, until September when L called me to inform me that my payments had already been stopped and a denial letter was in route. This letter informed me I had not complied in getting information from my Doctors and, he claimed in part that since they were not responsive to the insurance company, I was now in receipt of this denial letter. After all he claimed, I really was just fine (not quoted but implied in my opinion). I had not heard a word from L in 3 months prior to that call. I had been promised I no longer had to talk to L after I complained to the insurance company. How surprised I was to pick up a call from L. He seemed quite pleased to let me know they had already stopped my payments. Long story short, like you perhaps, I was scared and had no idea where to turn. Did I need to find a local attorney? That’s what I started doing. I quickly learned there were a lot of people who had or were currently going through the same thing. Misery really does seem to love company.
I started reading other people’s stories and often ran into the Dell & Schaefer name. I was skeptical. I mean, who chooses an attorney over the internet? I learned there were topics this law firm had placed on You Tube? I intently read everyone of them. I admittedly was impressed as they carefully described the process and what to expect. I read more than once. I called the national number listed. I made my choice when I spoke with Alexander Palamara, Esc. He was very informative, confident and encouraging. All of which I was not feeling prior to that call. I made my decision and never looked back. I knew without question that I would never be able to win this case on my own. I was so naive that I didn’t understand that what I thought was a very reputable and certainly well known Insurance company, would blatantly lie. They did. My attorney learned during the discovery process that they had, had much of the information they said they never got. They had had it for months. I never had to wait for response from Alexander, my attorney. If he was not available, his assistant would contact me. I was always in the loop and well informed. I was still shocked at the glaring discrepancies noted in my filing as opposed to what was noted by the insurance company’s denial letter. Some say, “Trust but verify”. I would Strongly recommend, “Don’t trust And Verify!” Act as early as you are able. Expect to provide your doctors names, addresses and phone numbers and dates. Then expect to be well represented. It’s well worth your time and money to pursue your case with Dell & Schaefer.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Please see my long description above. The words that describe my experience with Dell & Schafer are concise, prompt, attentive, thorough, upfront and honest.
What could we do to improve?
I honestly can’t think of anything.
Painless, as they did all the work and they knew what was required.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
They made it easy for me, and knew what to do to resolve my issues.
Alex and Danielle were very helpful to me. They always made me feel like my case was very important to them. My calls were always returned and my questions always answered. I felt like Alex was going to protect me against the disability company that had bullied me for so long. I truly looked forward to meeting him in person. He was always professional and courtious. I feel like I received the best care possible.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
The treatment I received from the office of Dell Disability Lawyers was the best I believe any attorney could’ve received. I would recommend them to anyone.
I would like to make sure that whomever Alex’s boss is knows how good he is. He was always was so kind and I felt like he would take good care of me. His opening statement to Hartford made me cry I could tell he really cared and truly reviewed my case. I can promise you that if anyone I know needs help that they use Alex. I’ll always remember him, he treated me like he was my big brother and was going to fight for me. Thank you as well Danielle you are very nice and always available.
I was a healthcare provider when I became ill with 2 rare diseases. I was on long term disability 2 years when they started playing games. “We think you can work full time”. Then one day they called and said we are not paying you anymore, have a nice day. Needless to say my husband and I were devastated to face this financial loss when we felt we were covered by all the insurance we had. We had provided them with anything they asked for. My LTD company had abandoned me. I needed a voice. That’s when I found Dell & Schaefer.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I found Dell & Schaefer online and read and watched all the testimonials and basically everything they had available on their site and was impressed by their professionalism. If I emailed Alex and or his associates I received a response that day. If I rambled on about my fears or my questions about the process he reassured me. I was treated with compassion and dignity at a time when my LTD company had taken away my dignity. In addition, Alex was able to write an amazing summary of hundreds of pages of complex medical records. Lastly, they are passionate about winning and righting the injustice of a corrupt insurance system. What more could you want in a lawyer?
They handled the case very carefully finding the proper way to challenge the disability company that they are/were in the wrong and must pay me for monies owed to me as a disabled individual.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
They were very professional and never gave up.
What could we do to improve?
Nothing.
My experience with Dell & Schaefer was wonderful. I don’t think that my disability would have been reinstated if it hadn’t been for this firm.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
The attorney that handled my case was very nice and even though I called a lot he still answered my calls and questions.
What could we do to improve?
Nothing.
Working with Dell & Schaefer overall was a very pleasant experience. Once I contacted the firm and agreed to representation all of my worries and concerns were handled by the firm. I did not have to deal with the incompetent and deceitful tactics of my policy holders any longer. Dell & Schaefer handled everything; contacting my physicians and putting together all necessary documentation to appeal my denial. I was able to than concentrate on my health issues.
There was minimal contact between Dell & Schaefer and myself. I placed the case in their hands and waited patiently for them to fight for me. Within weeks of submitting my appeal the insurance carrier reversed their decision. Everyone at Dell & Schaefer are extremely professional and compassionate. Whenever I had questions and or concerns they always responded promptly, professionally and compassionately. I am very thankful I turned to Dell & Schaefer in my hour of distress and frustration. I will continue to retain their services to ensure my rightful benefits.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I would recommend the Attorneys at Dell & Schaefer because they are professional, fair, compassionate and successful.
My employer offered both Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability insurance as optional benefits among others. The premiums were significant, but since they could be payroll deducted I felt they could be reasonably managed and the security of continued income in the event of a medical disability was well worth the investment. As with the purchase of a first aid kit, most would prefer never having to use it.
I have been very fortunate to have had few illnesses or injuries throughout my life and more specifically my 45 year career as a healthcare professional. It wasn’t until early in 2012 that I was diagnosed with a chronic, progressive disease of the eye. Symptoms were minimal at that time, though regular visits to a retinal specialist, including regular therapy by ocular injection, were necessary to slow its progression, the symptoms did not appreciably interfere with my work. In spite of my treatments the condition continued to progress. In early 2014 the symptoms began to interfere dramatically with my day to day duties. My job required significant computer use and the reading of copious amounts of medical documentation. It became evident to me that I could no longer meet the expectation of my management and clinical position without working frighteningly long hours and enduring the relentless eye strain and other symptoms related to the illness.
Though I had always planned for eventual retirement from my full-time position, like most professionals I had hoped to be able to continue to practice my profession on a part-time basis throughout my retirement as long as I remained competent and able. That was not to be. Thankfully, I had the foresight to elect the disability benefit options offered by my company and have the premiums payroll deducted for many years. I notified my supervisor and HR representative that I had to stop working due to my condition and proceed with the disability application process.
All went very well and after using up my accrued vacation and sick time, my short-term disability benefits commenced. Since my condition is progressive and incurable I felt secure in knowing that once my short-term benefits were exhausted my benefits would continue under the long-term policy. However, much to my surprise, after receiving about a month of benefits I received notification from the insurance company that a decision had been made to terminate my benefits due to lack of objective medical evidence to support my claim, though significant documentation had been provided by my retinal specialist.
I was bewildered and unsure of how to proceed with an appeal of that decision. Since I had 180 days to do so, I decided to research the matter thoroughly. In spite of my being a veteran healthcare professional everything I had been reading on the subject cautioned about attempting to proceed with an appeal on my own. Legal representation was highly recommended.
I then began a review of local attorneys, hoping to find one that provided enough documentation on their website that indicated experience with non-social security disability related cases. I was also interested in seeing evidence of some experience with disability cases related to diseases of the eye and resultant vision impairment. I was unsuccessful.
So I expanded my search to include national law firms. It was then that I discovered Dell Disability Lawyers. After thoroughly reviewing their website, watching many of the video discussions, noting experience with vision related cases, particular documentation related to the insurance company that handled and then eventually denied my benefits, and reading a significant number of testimonials, I decided to request a free consultation as advertised. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
After that consultation, I was very confident that I was in very skilled hands which alone reduced my anxiety level immensely. Attorney Alexander Palamara and his Legal Assistant, Kathleen Bordes, immediately began managing my case, their professional expertise clearly evident.
They worked closely with my retinal specialist, my optometrist and the insurance company in compiling the medical documentation necessary for a successful appeal in an amazingly short period of time, keeping me fully informed all along the way. Shortly after being notified by the insurance company that my benefits would be reinstated and paid through the full term of my short-term policy I received a lump-sum payment.
Once the short-term disability appeal was successfully completed, Alex and Kathy immediately addressed the long-term policy benefits. Again in a remarkably short period of time I was granted those benefits, receiving a lump-sum payment for benefits to date and will receive a payment monthly going forward per the terms of my LTD policy.
I am extremely pleased with how my case was handled and the very favorable outcome. Alex and Kathy were a delight to work with and extremely professional in every way. Incidentally, the fee I paid to Dell and Schaefer for their incredible representation was very reasonable and very well earned.
I highly recommend the services of Dell Disability Lawyers to anyone who may find themselves in a similar disability-related situation.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
As stated above, Dell Disability Lawyers, were clearly experienced in handling cases such as mine. Once I was on board with them, their professionalism, courtesy, understanding, expertise, efficiency and adherence to timeliness was all well noted Most of all, Alex and Kathy truly cared about me and my overall wellbeing with regard to this case. I could not have asked for more from a law firm and it’s staff.
What could we do to improve?
I am certain that there isn’t a company or individual that could not improve in some way. However, in the time I’ve spent with this firm to date I can not think of a single example. My experience to date can be described as exceeding expectations. Thank you for that.
After collecting LTD from Prudential for about 16 months, I was cut off without warning. At the time of being cut-off, I was recovering from my 4th back surgery. I had numerous, bulging disks, nerves that were severely impinged, diskectomy from C2-C7, and active arthritis and degenerative disk disease throughout my spine. While being out of work, I also developed pulmonary fibrosis as well as COPD and have a difficult time breathing. I went through numerous sessions of physical therapy, Spinal Cortisone Injections, Trigger Point Injections, a Neurostimulator Implant, as well as a battery of strong narcotics to control the pain.
I was declared totally and permanently disabled by my neurosurgeon as well as being awarded Social Security Disability. There was no way I could work any job, let alone my previous job. After a brief talk with Alex Palamara, Dell & Schaefer offered to take my case. I was amazed at the level of personal and medical detail Alex knew about my case. Alex was able to assemble a solid appeal. I was turned down for LTD again! Alex fought even harder! After the second appeal, we were able to make Prudential “understand” my medical condition and how it affects my ability to perform work. I feel very comfortable knowing Alex and Dell & Schaefer are in my corner going forward!
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Alex had a “never say die” attitude throughout! Dell & Schaefer were able to put together an indisputable appeal utilizing the many resources available to the firm including Medical Doctors. They have proven to me that they are in my corner everyday going forward! Worth every penny! Rates were very comparable to my local attorneys. It’s a no-brainer!
My experience working with Dell & Schaefer exceeded my expectations. This firm treated me professionally and help me resolve my case. I had peace of mind working with this firm because they listened to my cased and took care of me.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I would recommend Dell Disability Lawyers to anyone that is going through a disability insurance appeal. Alex Palamara listened to me and got all my information correctly and helped me win my case. I was going through a bad faith by my disability insurance but with the help of Alex and my medical records I was able to reinstate my insurance claim. I am very happy and have peace of mind knowing that these insurance companies cant just cancel me just because they feel like it.
What could we do to improve?
Nothing! Customer service was great and appeal was submitted at timely matter.
Dell & Schaefer is very easy to work with. My attorney gave me guidance with obtaining medical support that the disability insurance companies were looking for. Alex, always kept in contact to let me know what’s going on with the case. Alex always kept me informed of my option and how he thought to proceed. I never even met my Alex in person but felt he always had my best well being in mind.
In the time of my case I worked with three other attorneys who were not as personable as Dell & Schaefer. I had let my attorney go and had a week to file an appeal and Alex took on my case.
When I first called Dell & Schaefer my call was answered promptly. My attorney reviewed the details of my case and assured me that he thought they could help. All conditions were detailed and explained. Any concerns were answered promptly. When a small discrepancy arose, it was settled to my satisfaction. Eventually (it took over a year) Metlife agreed to pay the benefits. I do not believe that Metlife would have paid any benefits without attorney Alex Palamara’s involvement.
Communication with Dell & Schaefer has mainly been through email which, is my preference.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I would recommend them because they answered all concerns promptly. I also do not like wasting time on the phone and prefer email. Also, and most importantly, my case was resolved in my favor and they continue to monitor my communications with Metlife to maintain my ongoing disability benefits. I believe their fee is standard for the industry.
The process seemed to go very smoothly. The attorney took care of everything. I just had to sit back and wait. I had to rely solely on the attorney and he took care of everything.
Alex Palamara with Dell & Schaefer, is an OUTSTANDING disability lawyer that you can TRUST without question. My entire experience with Alex Palamara of Dell & Schaefer was professional consulting at its best. With Dell & Schaefer you do NOT need to leave your home (I am in a wheel chair, travel is difficult) and you can have the best-of-the-best, on your side which is crucial while engaged with gorillas of industry like Cigna.
My experience with Alex was all-digital; we communicated through email and telephone from start-to-finish. Prior to securing representation from Alex, I was a mental “wreck” with anxiety constantly pondering “what-to-do…”. A never ending quandary. After receiving FREE initial consultation, I quickly understood it was a “no-brainer” to have Alex represent me, I secured Dell & Schaefer. My stress levels were reduced immediately and significantly. Alex became my single-point of contact, Dell & Schaefer managed everything for me. I am still amazed at how smooth the entire process was handled WITHOUT ever leaving the comfort of my home.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
In retrospect, I would recommend Attorneys at Dell & Schaefer for many reasons. The most obvious: you can trust them and they are well respected due to deep knowledge of disability insurance settlement experience. They know what you do not. You will not be pressured one way or the other, all potential options will be presented and explained, then, you decide.
What could we do to improve?
In my case, no improvement is necessary. My experience with Alex was beyond expectation.
Alex helped me and my brother for multiple cases in the past five years. He earned my trust and confidence through his hard work, attention to detail, well thought plans and advises, I see him cumulated great experiences.
I continued seek his advises and he always respond right away.
Alex is the first person I would call for help when I am in need again or anyone I know seek referrals.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I have great experience working with Alex. Alex is a very talented attorney, a sincere person, and a hard working professional. He cares for people who is in need of help.
What could we do to improve?
I can not point out anything for suggestion for improvement after saw him grow and mature in his field in the past five years.
“Whatever it Takes”, and you can take that to the bank, as I did. I was declared disabled in March 2010 after unsuccessful Back surgeries, CSC Implants, numerous other treatments, all which failed. I was (and still am) in constant pain requiring medication therapy and managment. June 2012, after receiving my benefit for 18 months I received a letter from my CIGNA case worker stating I no longer meet the contract definition of Disability. Therefore they stopped my benefit immediately. My numerous attempts at trying to resolve my Reinstatement Request was bogged down with hidden agendas, request for test after test, loosing documents from critical doctors supporting my claim, never returning my calls.
I contacted Dell & Schaefer, Alex Palamara, for a free consultation. He replied the same day. We spoke briefly and set an appointment the following day to pass detailed information. I faxed to him all supporting documents. In the beginning I was sceptical. But after a few weeks I could sense that they were a no BS organisation. I began to feel like they were really working hard for me. Throught the somewhat long process I was very impressed with the way they handled my case. They kept me informed of all issues via Email or calls. Never, never, did Alex (Mr. Palamara) or any of his staff fail to reply within 24 hours and usually within the same day to any of my request. I can’t say enough about the professionalism, courtesy, care, with the way they handled my case. My long hours of research have lead me to believe that Dell & Schaefer are by far the LTD hardest working informed agency out there. And, they would prove me right: as just recently I received a letter from Alex Palamara, forwarded from CIGNA stating a full reversal of my claim to begin immediately with full back pay and monthly benefits.
I cannot thank Alex and his staff enough for the fight they must have endured from CIGNA’s attorneys.
What could we do to improve?
Nothing! Keep up the great service fighting for the people getting caught in the LTD agendas of the Insurance companies. And, open more offices around the country possibly giving you services to more people.
It was a pleasure working with Dell & Shaefer. Mr. Palamara was very professional, courteous, and respectful of my situation. He worked quickly and efficiently to resolve my disability dispute with a positive outcome. The paralegal, Danielle, was extremely helpful and polite.
The firm of Dell & Schaefer was responsive to my request for assistance in obtaining the disability claim owed to me. I have only praise for their help in resolving my situation. Thanks.
Despite the fact that I work at a law firm who handles different types of cases, I had an incredibly difficult time finding a firm that would take my disability case against Northwestern Mutual. I was so pleased when Dell & Schaefer agreed to represent me. This has been an extremely stressful and difficult time trying to receive the benefits which I was owed, while also dealing with serious medical conditions and physical limitations. My main diagnosis is fibromyalgia syndrome, which has completely changed every aspect of my life. I could not ever have imagined that I would be so lucky as to find such a firm as Dell & Schaefer and an attorney like Alex Palamara.
From the very beginning, he and his staff were so very helpful, knowledgeable, kind, understanding and committed to me and my case. I have now learned that disability cases against private insurance carriers are very different than a social security disability claim. I had to completely rely on Alex Palamara’s professional knowledge and experience with my case. Alex, his firm and his staff went above and beyond to assist me in every way. They were very clear in explaining these types of cases, and my case in particular. Working in the legal field as a secretary, I know how frustrating it can be for clients when they don’t have regular communication with their attorney, or have questions that need to be answered.
Alex always immediately responded to me and answered every question I had. He also always made sure that I was given any update or new information regarding my case. I could not be happier with the representation I received from Alex Palamara and everyone at Dell & Schaefer. From the very beginning, through and including mediation, Alex was completely prepared regarding every aspect of my case, medical condition, limitations, extensive documentation, and my situation in every way. I truly do not know what I would have done had I not found Alex Palamara and Dell & Schaefer to represent me in this matter. I normally hesitate to recommend a professional to others, but not in this case. I would very highly recommend Dell & Schaefer, and especially Alex Palamara, to anyone with a disability claim in need of representation. Despite the awful personal situation that brought me to Alex and his firm, he and his staff made it as stress-free as possible, and brought my case to a close in a professional and respectful manner and timeframe.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I would recommend them for their extensive knowledge, experience, communication, professionalism toward their client and all parties involved in a case, as well as kindness, patience and putting their client’s best interests ahead of anything else.
What could we do to improve?
Based on my personal experience, I cannot think of one thing that needs improvement.
With much confidence and thanks, my attorney Alex Palamara took the necessary time to understand all the key facts about my case and were able to present the best possible winning argument. Alex provides to his clients professionalism, persistence, excellent communication, kindness and a winning legal expertise. I highly recommend his services. Thanks again Alex!
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
They help their clients.
Alex was a wonderful attorney. He was very professional, understanding and willing to go the extra mile to get me what I deserved. I would definitely recommend him to others in need of his services.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I would recommend this law firm because they are professional attorneys, no beating around the bush. They deliver what they promise.
What could we do to improve?
Nothing.
Alex did a great job on my case with Unum and always was on top of everything. Couldn’t ask for any better job.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Great service.
What could we do to improve?
None.
My experience was good. The staff was dedicated to the client. Attorney Palamara made sure all my questions and concerns were answered.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Dependable and Dedicated. Service in a timely manner.
Two days before Christmas, I received a call from MetLife Insurance. The woman stated to me, that my disability insurance, that I paid premiums 11 years through my employer was ending. She stated to me that the decision was for me to return to work. I was so upset and throughout the holidays, I spent crying. I knew I had been found disabled by the SSDI and I am in no way able to return to work. I also knew what a strain this would be on my husband, my losing the benefits per month. We were struggling trying to get used to me drawing SSDI and not my normal salary as it was. I contacted Dell & Schaefer by email and by phone and I spoke with Attorney Alexander Palamara with Dell & Schaefer. He advised to fax all documentation I had, and they would set up a conference call. After a conference call was held I decided to hire Alex and sent him back a signed contract. All done over the phone and fax!
My appeal was submitted timely and after a small delay with Metlife, I received word that my benefits have been reinstated! I have Mr. Palamara and his assistant Ms. Danielle Lauria to THANK for the quick, timely and efficient way, in which they handled my appeal.
I can’t thank Dell & Schaefer & their Associates enough. Maybe now, we will get our lives back to some normalcy. I am so glad I found their website and all the reviews I read were wonderful, that is the reason I chose Dell & Schaefer.
Again, thank you for a job well done!
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Quick, timely, and efficient. I was treated with respect and thoughtfulness. I did not have to meet in person. My case was handled on the phone and through fax. I would whole heartedly recommend Dell & Schaefer and Mr. Palamara!
What could we do to improve?
Honestly, I can’t think of ANYTHING, that needs improving. THANK YOU!
I can’t say enough great things about Alex Palamara. He is very professional. Anytime I emailed him or left a message for him, he responded very quickly. I have dealt with other attorneys in the past and such is not always the case. His assistant Danielle Lauria was very pleasant and professional as well. They made me feel like they appreciated my business.
I had the opportunity to meet them both during a mediation with MetLife Insurance. They were just as nice in person and very accommodating. Mr. Palamara was able to successfully negotiate a settlement between MetLife and myself. During a stressful time in my life, it was nice to know that I didn’t have to worry about the outcome because I knew I was in good hands.
What could we do to improve?
Honestly, I can’t really think of any improvements.
I found my attorney in the internet. Thank God I did cause I was denied by Reliance Standard and was so unhappy after I had been paid since 2009 and then they said I can go back to work not knowing I was set up for surgery. So then I call attorney Alex Palamara for help and he got on my case and started on and I never had a problem with them. Always answer my email. Kept up with my case and me. And they won my case thanks to Attorney Alex. And if you want winner in your case call them.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Cause they are great attorneys.
They get you all the answers.
And they know what they doing.
And they win your case for you.
They know what they doing.
What could we do to improve?
I had no problem with you all. Thank you.
I was confronted with the daunting task of fighting an uphill appeal battle with MetLife, after being disabled since 2004. Metlife decided to discontinue my payments and the ERISA rules were not in my favor.
After researching to find a competent law firm, I decided to engage Dell & Schaefer; the pressure of trying to personally deal with insurance company was relieved. The attorney, Alex Palamara, was very professional and insured I was kept updated every step of the process. In the end, the case was settled out of court and I am satisfied.
What could we do to improve?
I have no recommendations for improvement at this time; keep doing what you are doing.
I was pleased with the effort and professionalism of both Mr. Alex Palamara and Ms. Danielle Lauria. It is sad how CIGNA treats sick people like me who after years of payments, refuse with what they promised. I for one would much rather be healthy and able to work. But since that is no longer the case, it is a wonderful service Attorneys Dell & Schaefer Chartered provided me through Alex and Danielle and I am truly grateful. They got the job done.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Simple. I am too sick to work, and Mr. Palamara and his support team helped me get the insurance company to recognize and accept this.
I researched a lot of disability attorneys on-line for an “insurance buy-out” with Unum. I ultimately decided to go with Alex’s firm, I am glad I did, as he was very professional yet down to earth. I literally felt at ease during the entire course of my business with him as well as his staff members. He did everything he said he’d do for me in a quick and timely manner.
His fees were within range with other firms based on my research, he always returned my calls and kept me posted from beginning to end. I settled in a few weeks. I don’t think anybody wants to get an attorney to deal with an insurance company, but if you find yourself in this situation as I did, then Dell & Schaefer is the way to go! I’m glad I had the opportunity to work with his firm.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I would absolutely recommend him to others as they are very knowledgeable with how the big insurance companies operate and they treat you like a person not just another client.
My wife and I were quite pleased with how Dell & Schaefer managed to procure a buyout from a nation-wide disability insurance company, whose name has been consistently associated with attempts to discredit the expert diagnosis of qualified physicians, in favor of their own staff appointed representatives. A practice that they have routinely used over the years in order to deny as many valid claims of disability as possible. They have also used this tactic to undermine the validity of many of the recipients of disability benefits who were already receiving their disability payments, as was the case with us. Dell & Schaefer was familiar with these tactics and the other methods used by this particular disability insurance company and it is for this reason that we contacted them. We were glad that we did.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Dell & Schaefer were very courteous and understanding. They presented a means to resolve the situation brought to them and they produced the results that they claimed were possible. In our case, even a little better than claimed. They did so in a reasonable timeframe, as well.
They were very professional in helping me with my legal situation. I was very fortunate to find such a competent company and attorney to represent me. Everyone that I had the pleasure of talking to, was very pleasant and helpful.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Because they do a great job.
What could we do to improve?
Nothing.
My experience has been very good; but for his representation the insurance company would not have agreed to pay my disability benefits.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I would recommend them because they are thoroughly experienced with short term and long term disability insurance and it’s laws, and as such I was quite comfortable having the Firm represent me in my claim for disability benefits against the insurance company.
What could we do to improve?
I have no complaints.
What an accomplishment Dell & Schaefer had done for my case against Reliance Standard Life Ins Co. The process was better than I could of thought. I could not of recovered my counter action without them. Great people and professionally handled with integrity, honestly and no strings attached. I was right and the firm got me my rights. Thank you Alex and the Dell & Schaefer team.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Because they work hard at what they do best… Recover your rights.
What could we do to improve?
At this time… nothing.
I was dealing with a difficult issue because after 20 years my disability insurance company was terminating my benefits. I was getting nowhere with the insurance company. I called Dell & Schaefer and was promptly treated with compassion and understanding. They immediately assisted me in helping me begin to resolve my issue. I was constantly updated and someone was always available when I had questions. They worked closely with me explaining each step we took. The issue was resolved thanks to their efforts. I am grateful to them for their expertise and professionalism as well as the personal touch they provided.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Expertise, professionalism and personal touch they provided at all times.
What could we do to improve?
I have dealt with other law firms and this one was the most efficient friendly and knowledgable. Just keep doing what you are doing.
They are kind, compassionate, and they include you in every step they take!
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
I recommend Dell & Schaefer because of their professionalism, prompt response, and efficient staff.
Excellent, very professional, fast, call back with answers to all your questions by end of business day called even at night and weekends via e-mail, fight to get you everything you deserve, overnight your settlement to you. I could go on!
Very professional, polite, efficient. Always made time to answer my questions, always responded to my calls or emails.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Great on communicating with clients and followups.
After many months of trying to reverse the denial of my claim on my own, I turned to Dell & Schaefer for their assistance. They answered all my calls and questions without hesitation. They were successful in obtaining the over-ruling of my disability denial without filing a lawsuit and I received all of my back benefits. I am glad to have found them and they continue to manage my claim for me.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Because they get the job done.
Attorney Alex Palamara was a delight, and most cordial, efficient and timely in responding to my questions and concerns. The staff was professional and also a delight to work with. The entire law firm most definitely looked out for our best interests. It was a burden lifted off us not to have to deal with the insurance company and which gave us peace of mind. There’s no price tag that could be put on that.
What could we do to improve?
I can’t seem to come up with any improvement on the law firms policies or procedures. Please keep on representing your clients, the way you have done for my disability case now and in the future. Thank you again.
The best place to start is a brief background. I had incurred six spine surgeries in a span of five years taking four or nine days vacation for each. These surgeries included multi level fusions, laminectomy’s, etc. I reached the point where the physicians recommended I take a period of time (six months) off to see if the injured nerves would calm down. I filed for my short term benefit (90 days) and that was approved. I filed for my long term benefit but was denied. After six months of no improvement I was deemed permanently injured, a pain management case. No other surgeries would help. This was all fully documented and supported by the surgeon. At some point in that period I realized an attorney was the only way to take on the insurance company as I was getting absolutely nowhere. I searched locally but had no luck but was recommended to Dell & Schaefer by a local attorney.
I was hesitant at first as their main office is in Florida and I am in New York but realized they had to trust me remotely also. Once they obtained all the medical records and formed the first of several appeals (at their up front cost and therefore risk) I realized they had this down and they realized I had a legit case with full physician support. The people at Dell & Schaefer were always courteous and professional. They never set any false expectations about time frame and they always kept me updated as the claim status.
Dell & Schaefer at one point had to ask my surgeon to write yet another letter on my behalf. There interaction with the very busy surgeon was polite, professional and subtle. I did not want my relationship with the doctors jeopardized by this and it never was. They also updated me with a copy of all interactions with the insurance company in a timely manner.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
They certainly lived up to their promise so I would certainly recommend them. Without an attorney I would never have won my appeal of the disability denial.
I was referred to Dell & Schaefer after several years of dealing with my private disability insurance company and their refusal to pay me. Many law firms refused to take my case as it was not a Social Security Disability case. I retained another law firm prior to Dell & Schaefer and they were not able to get me paid. I was lucky to find Dell & Schaefer. They were able to settle with the disability insurance company to my satisfaction and recover disability benefits for me.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Very professional. Kept me apprised of my situation and decisions I needed to make with regard to my case.
I am completely satisfied of my experience with Dell & Schaefer.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
All correspondence, email and phone calls, have been answered in a timely manner. They were able to assist me in obtaining long term disability benefits from Prudential Insurance Company after my own efforts failed.
You guys were great with getting my checks out to me and so forth. The amount that was quoted was true. Everyone was very professional.
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
If someone out there is having a problem with getting what they should be.
Everything went very smooth, all done in less than 2 weeks. I no longer have Cigna’s B.S. in my life. What a relief!
Why would you recommend Dell Disability Lawyers?
Not many law firms handle lump sum offers for long term disability.
A very effective and professional law firm who believes in being dedicated to their clients. Dell & Schaefer are committed to getting the job done with a successful ending.
It was a frustrating experience to deal with the impersonal folks at the insurance company when they were paying the benefits because they always were late or changed the requirements. Then they just stopped paying what was suppose to be a lifetime disability benefit.
Thankfully we found Dell & Schaefer who explained our recourse to us in detail so we knew exactly what to expect. We didn’t just lay down and play dead, we got the experts on our side. Dell & Schaefer were easy to do business with and kept us well informed.
My experience was very pleasant & an easy experience. I dealt with Alex who was very knowledgeable, understanding & quick to help with my situation. Thanks again for all your help.
After being denied on a long-term disability claim by a private disability insurance company, while dealing with a difficult and painful case of chronic Lyme disease that has made it impossible for me to work, Alexander Palamara and the staff at Dell & Schaefer helped me to get a fair settlement that will help me financially. Dell & Schaefer was incredibly easy to work with. They understood the complicated health problems that I was experiencing, which isn’t always the case in the field of Lyme disease, a field in which there are still many unknowns and many disagreements within the medical world. The staff at Dell & Schaefer made the complex legal process as clear and straightforward as possible, and I was, and remain, extremely grateful for their kindness, their assistance, and their legal expertise. I would totally recommend Dell & Schaefer to anyone needing legal help with a complicated disability claim.
My experience with Dell & Schaefer has been excellent. My questions are always answered and phone calls are always returned the same day if possible or the next. When I send an e-mail they are always answered. I would recommend Attorneys Dell & Schaefer because they are very professional and if it was not for them I don’t think that I would have won my case.
Alex Palamara was very personable and professional. He was pleasant and understood my frustration of being turned down by Liberty Mutual for disability insurance benefits that I qualified for. He always returned my calls and emails in a timely manner. The staff was also helpful and kind.
Integrity and honesty is an important attribute to me. My Dell & Schaefer (D&S) attorneys meet and share these attributes. D&S have an entire staff dedicated to serving their clients. They’re all very approachable and friendly while keeping the client’s best interests at the forefront. You can contact or call them at the drop of a hat and they’ll assist you. You’re not treated like a number; you’re a respected individual and friend. They care. That’s how they make me feel. They often ask how I’m doing; how I’m feeling (I’m in a lot of pain). Most of all, under their protective umbrella, you don’t have to deal with the insurance company. D&S does all that. They keep things straight. It’s comforting. I would not hesitate to recommend them first and foremost for any disability legal needs.
I’m a retired Army Soldier. I’ve been disabled for about four and a half years. I was working for a company (post-military retirement) when I became disabled after an unsuccessful service connected C-spinal surgery that caused me serious complications. My disability is permanent. I had disability insurance with the company that I worked for as an added benefit. After I went down, and once I met the 6 month period for long term disability, the Hartford insurance company began paying monthly disability payments; however, they were always requesting additional information. It was always repetitive information, non-stop, i.e., asking for the same information I had provided only a few months prior.
They wanted repetitive doctors’ statements. I saw many doctors in my state in an attempt to fix or reverse what was damaged during my surgery in an attempt to return to work. My doctors all said the same thing. My medical condition was permanent. They all said I would not improve or get any better through more surgery or physical therapy. In fact, it might have gotten worse if I tried more surgery. There was nothing the neurosurgeons could do for me other than pain management, and continued PT for pain management to improve my quality of life. My disability insurance company continued to hound me for additional information despite what the doctors had already provided to them. It was ridiculous and it was obvious that the insurance company was trying to find anything to negate the policy.
About 18 months ago the Hartford insurance company requested an “in-home” interview with me. Despite the fact that my medical documentation was excellent and well documented regarding my disability, I had grown tired of dealing with this company on my own. It had become stressful to the point that my health was suffering even more. I had no idea how to handle this powerful company at the pending interview and I felt I needed legal representation to get them off my back protect my rights during the interview. That’s when I decided to enlist the help of Gregory Dell. I found him on the internet, watched several of his You-tube videos, and I was convinced that he was the legal representation I needed to guide me and protect me from this insurance company and my right to disability benefits.
From the moment I contacted Gregory Dell and his attorney associate Alex Palamara, the lead attorney who handles my case, I was treated with respect and dignity. With little notice, both of these attorney’s guided me through a successful interview with the insurance company. They were present (via telecom) during the entire interview, which took about two hours. They had told me to be myself and to be totally honest with the investigator during the interview. That I was, but when I was offering too much information to the investigator, they would tell me when to stop. They’re experts in disability legal matters. I’m not and I listened carefully to their advice and direction. I’m glad I did.
Alex Palamara at Attorneys Dell & Schaefer was excellent! I would absolutely recommend Alex and his firm. Everything was handled excellently.
I hired Dell & Schaefer after Hartford denied my long term disability benefits. Attorney Alex Palamara worked very hard and won my case following an Appeal. No matter what I asked or when I asked, they were always available.

Reviews from Our Clients

Alex was a wonderful attorney. He was very professional, understanding and willing to go the extra mile to get me what I deserved. I would definitely recommend him to others in need of his services.

I would recommend this law firm because they are professional attorneys, no beating around the bush. They deliver what they promise.
