Staff Lie
I had my disability cut off the day I was scheduled to find out whether I should have surgery. The claims examiner was aware that I had an appointment on that date and said she would wait for the result to finish reviewing my file. She lied!
After disability was reinstated, my new claims examiner almost immediately started another review. She requested information from my doctor and then sent them a follow-up letter to rescind her request. She then cut off my disability and stated in the letter that two of my doctors stated that they did not have any record on file for the date of the request. One of the doctors never received a request. The second doctor was the one she rescinded the request to. These are the two most important doctors to my claim.

I am sorry to hear about your experience. It’s crazy that Reliance Standard would deny your disability benefits when you are suffering so badly that you need surgery. They can be ruthless.
