Considered disabled... then not?
I was on STD before it transferred to LTD with Lincoln. After spending 2 years jumping through all their hoops, having benefits suspended and reinstated, etc etc they are denying me benefits and closing my claim. The reason… I no longer meet their definition of disabled. I’ve still got all the same issues as before but they’ve gotten worse due to the fact I have no medical insurance so I can't pursue surgery etc recommended by my doc.
So how did I all of a sudden become not disabled anymore? Their physician says I can do other jobs such as a receptionist. Ummm no I can't. I have issues standing, walking, or sitting for long periods due to issues with my legs. Even if I did get a job like that my production for whichever company it was for would be so low they’d fire me due to it not being worth the cost of paying me. Now my kids are having to pay my bills.
