Question

What does it mean if my disability company called me for a verbal check in?

Asked on May 5th 2026 by Ruby
I just moved to a new state but had all of my papers signed and MRIs, X-RAYS, bloodwork, physician statements updated before my move in January. Today, Lincoln called me for a verbal update. What does that mean?

A verbal check in likely means they want to question you about your current medical treatment, if you are working and learn how you are feeling. You should assume that they have conducted video surveillance of you lately and checked any of your social media feeds.
