My fiance wants to lie to his doctor so he can go back to work because we can't live off of SunLife

My Fiance went out of work on 12/26/2020 from a heart attack. We was suppose to receive a check after the first 8 days. We have stressed to the limit. We have sent all paperwork to adjusters over 3 times. Have not received any money. Has made us behind on vehicle loans, light bills, etc and unable to buy food, heat etc. We have a teenage son. My Fiance has not needed the stress while recovering from his heart attack. He is wanting to lie to his doctor so he can go back to work, because we can’t survive like this.

Lauri, your fiancé should not lie to their doctor in order to be released back to work before he has fully recovered. He should contact his short-term disability insurer and request a status of his claim. If his claim representative is not available he should escalate it to their supervisor or the manager for the department.
