Question

Should I get an attorney if Hartford hasn't responded to my settlement demand?

Asked on March 8th 2017 by Blackwell
I’m a 50 year old woman. In 2015 I broke my foot at work 4th and fifth Metatarsal Fractures. I was off work for 7 weeks (The Hartford) paid me not WC. I continued with doctors visits , as I am still continuing with pain. My doctor after 1 year gave me a IMM of 15% SLU. The Hartford sent me to their IME doctor who refused to give me a SLU and said I needed more treatment. (I heard that hardly ever happens) . His conclusion was I have a Mortons Neuroma , and would benefit from injections and possibly extraction of the neuroma. I just want it over, I do not have an attorney yet. I sent the claims adjuster a settlement demand and I have not heard back from the Hartford. Should I get an attorney?

Blackwell, it certainly would not hurt to consult with an attorney. Hartford has relatively strict criteria for offering buyouts. Please feel to contact our office to discuss your situation further.
