This is a very deceptive company…

I had taken out a policy that stated the representative stated to me if i got sick i was paid the value that i signed up for. I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure with my heart pumping at 20 percent. . Unum is telling me that unless I’m on a transplant list I am denied this claim. My doctor stated this is major organ failure. In their decision of my appeal they say it was in the book they gave me. Never was i given a booklet at sign up. My husband was extremely ill when I met with this representative and I took this out as a precaution if something happened to me so that he was taken care of. I also went through an illness with my father which resulted in his death and my condition is stress related. And the stress from them isn’t helping. Why would i take out a policy stating i have to be on a transplant list. This is a very deceptive company…
