Different Unum representatives told me my claim was both approved and denied?!

I applied for short term disability for the 7 day and 14 day period off work. I was told that I was approved for the 7day period. And I was also told they closed my 7 day period. I feel like I have been misled by several employees of Unum. I have submitted most of what was asked of me. And Unum refuses to pay me my benefits that is deducted from my pay every two weeks. And when you are off work and you have no sick time Unum lead you on thinking you will collect your benefits. Earlier today a Unum representative reassured me I would be receiving payment for the 7 day period. Later on I called and talked to someone else and they stated that particular claim was approved but was closed. I am disappointed and hurt.
