Dealing with Unum made me depressed and want to give up
I have UNUM LTD,. for years since a Environmentally Unsafe work place nearly killed me. Now, UNUM is pulling out all of their Un-Scrupled tactics, to get me off LTD. They keep telling me that my forms have not been received and they they have not gotten forms and other information from my Doctor’s etc.. The Attorney that I contacted is retiring and I am trying to find a Lawyer that will accept my case. What UNUM and other LTD Insurance companies do to the people on LTD is deplorable, and the Federal Government needs to CRACK DOWN on LTD Insurance Companies unscrupulous tactics. They harass sick people, and make you depressed and feel like giving up on everything life included. I am not depressed, I am a positive person, but when UNUM calls me I always hang up very depressed.

Renda, what you are going through is very frustrating. On top of it all, you are disabled, so it is that much harder on you. In the meantime, it is best to send in all your forms and records yourself and send it in multiple ways (via fax, email and certified mail). You want to have proof to show Unum that they are lying and that they did receive the correspondence you have sent.
