So glad to see I’m not alone, I left work in March 2012 due to my crohns disease and gastroparesis along with chronic fatique. I’ve always had back issues and chronic pain but I didn’t leave work because of that, I worked for the Hartford for 25 years, paid for my LTD policy all that time, I am on SSD since leaving work I’ve had back surgery, and a bowel resection. Hartford has stopped my LTD checks stating that I can push a buggy thru my yard and spray paint some chairs. That they have on surveillance, that I can work a Sedentary job, which is what I did when I was working, I was hospitalized every three months for three years, but being a customer rep and having crohns disease with chronic horrible diarrhea is almost impossible to stay on the phone, I have no forewarnings, and its gotta go now, Hartford would have my supervisors reprimand me all the time for my bathroom time even though medical papers were provided to them. They sent me to one of their doctors who says I can work, using my mobility as an excuse, my mobility was never the reason for me leaving work or going on disability, it is a deadly internal disease, how they can see me drive or in the yard and say I can work is absolutely ridiculous, they do not see me in bed for days at a time when I’m flaring, when I’m in the bathroom 10, 11,15 times a day. But seems its always that two year mark when they decide your LTD is to be cut off. I can’t pay my bills or my medicine now. I think fighting them is fruitless. They even said my doctor said they would not comment on my condition, when in fact my doctor was never contacted. They are liars and thieves. And they took my entire SSD back pay and say I still owe them money.
