Sent my Direct Deposit to a Strangers Bank Acct

I went on short term disability and The Hartford put my direct deposit into someone else’s bank account. Somehow they messed up a number or two and they are refusing to help to extract the money back. They said they don’t have the ability to claw back payments. They are saying it must have been my error but I say absolutely not. They are based in Hartford Connecticut and it got processed as New York disability and I don’t know where to turn. It was $3500 and needed for bills.
