Hartford is the worst Insurance company I have ever dealt with. This website proves it! Thank you Dell & Schaefer for putting this together. I filed LTD claim back in Sept. 2017 and have yet to be paid what I am owed, except a partial month payment of $63. I have fought over and over and over with them to get their S*%T together and pay me. They constantly “forget” my instructions on how to contact my doctors, sent me a denial letter within 2 weeks time from filing my claim, never answering my calls or returning them, etc, etc, etc. All this work for a measly $25 week. I think they are hoping I will give up and forget about it. I will be FedXing a statement of my complaints to the CEO once this claim is finally paid. Then, I may sue them. Your video above, “Hartford Has Some Sneaky Disability Claim Handling Practices”, have been played on me but I don’t let them get away with it. They are messing with the wrong woman. Let’s roll, Hartford!

Regarding giving Hartford instructions on how to contact your doctors, please keep in mind it is the claimant’s responsibility to prove the claim. Thus, do not rely upon the insurance company to prove it to themselves that they should be paying you. You or your representative must make sure to send in as much proof (medical records, letters of support, objective evidence) of your claim ASAP.
