Well, The Hartford Company has shut me down too after 15 years of payments, they have five years left of payments. In 2003 I had a freak accident at home and I blew both quad tendons in my knees. I had surgery and had to be sewn back together, had to wear locked leg braces for some period amount of time basically I had to learn to walk all over again. I have loss of Mobility I can’t squat down anymore and I can’t get on my knees and I don’t do stairs very well so after 5 years left to go of payments they gave me the shaft sent me to one of their doctors this past April of 2017 for a physical evaluation. I went in with my knee brace on had my cane and went through the evaluation of course it’s a doctor they referred me to and they paid for. He says my hands work, I should be able to get a job stand for two hours off and on out of a day, sit for 5 hours and I’d like to really know who in the hell is going to hire me when I take 3 1000 mg Norcos a day for pain and I also have back issues. My balance is off, I need assistance to get up and down off of the toilet. I use the tub in the sink counter and I also have back issues, my balance is off and also been told that my gate is not normal when I walk. What was kind of funny the doctor they sent me to for the evaluation wasn’t concerned at all about my taking the Norcos 3 times a day so Hartford has stopped their claims with me the beginning of this June 2017. First by a verbal phone call then the final paperwork came a week later stating my benefits have stopped so basically I’m in the need of some help. I think it’s downright nasty that they can do this to me after I receive benefits for 15 years. I’m basically 61 years old, my accident was in 2003, I was 47 years old. I was awarded Social Security disability and still receive Social Security disability so as the years go by I go downhill. Yes some help with a lawyer would be fine maybe I should mention that they had tried to pay me off three different times within a 15 year period also as I think about it I’ve had 3 evaluations I know of out of it at least a 15 years every year a question error to fill out and a doctor’s form to have a doctor fill out they sure knew my hands worked within the past 15 years and I do walk and get around and I do put ice on my knees on occasion and put my legs up. I also use Ambien to go to sleep. Yes, I am very stressed out at what they did to me and have anxiety.
