  • I had nothing but issue’s with this company. My policy is for 1700 a month, they are suppose to pay me bi-weekly, so 850.00, minus my premium, 830.00. I got one check so far for 760.00, they told me another check was mailed out on 9/24/21 for 760.00. I question where the rest of the money is, they did not know the answer. So my checks are 70$ short. My rep Dot said she will look into this….And it is now 10/1, and still haven’t received my check. Customer Service is a joke, most of the rep are nasty, and they don’t want to be bother! The last 2 months dealing with this company has been pure hell. I’m going back to work sooner then scheduled because, I can not count on a check to arrive at the proper time from this company. I will be canceling with policy asap. I heard combined life reps are efficient and professional.

  • Not only have I been fighting with my claims rep for weeks about various things, including my benefit amount, I have only been paid 1 week out of 6. Promised a check would be processed a week ago, and when I called to follow up, was told she had a senior rep review my claim and no money had been released. Thank God I have a little money in my savings account! This whole process, and especially my assigned rep, has been a joke. And thank God, I had a copy of my policy in hand when I was arguing on the phone. Took talking to her supervisor to start moving in the right direction, but… still no payout.

  • I think Trustmark short term disability is a joke and the fact that you can’t have your money direct deposited into your checking sucks. Been waiting on a couple of checks and still haven’t received them smh. When you call them they will tell you 7 to 10 business days in a nasty tone and it’s takes over 3+ weeks to get anything. I would never deal with them and if you can go to afflac.

  • I have a critical illness claim for a stroke that occurred in january 2019. I filed a claim upon further review it was told to me that I needed a doctor to certify that I had neurological damage in excess of 30 days. I provided the information and all was fine until at the last minute when she was supposed to cut me the check. The next thing I know is I was told that I cannot collect on the policy because it should have terminated back in 2017 when I had cancer and filed a claim. The policy is still in affect even to this day I was never told it should have terminated and my premiums were still being deducted. So now I am without a policy and no payment for a policy which I was paying for, in addition I was depending on that money to pay some bills.

    Its so unfair for Trustmark to tell me that my policy should have terminated but they were still collecting premiums even as my direct deposit went in today.

  • I HAD TRUSTMARK SHORT TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE SINCE 2008. ON OCTOBER 10 2013 I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH TERMINAL CANCER. I AM A FIREFIGHTER. I FILED FOR MY BENEFITS AND WAS TOLD MY POLICY HAD LAPSED IN 2009 AND THAT THEY WOULD REFUND ME ALL THE PREMIUMS THEY CONT TO TAKE OUT FOR THE POLICY SINCE 2009 BUT I DID NOT HAVE A POLICY ANYMORE. I ASKED WHO CANCELLED MY POLICY – THEY SAID MY EMPLOYER. I HAVE DIRECT DEPOSIT SO IT WAS NOT ME, I NEVER REQUESTED TO LEAVE. I CALLED BOSTON TREASURY AND WAS TOLD AND A COPY WAS PROVIDED ME SHOWING A LETTER FROM TRUSTMARK THAT IMFORMED THE TREASURER TO STOP PAYMENT FOR UPKEEP OF MY POLICY. AFTER MANY CALLS AND NO RESULTS THEY SENT MY PREMIUMS BACK. THIS WAS NONE OF MY DOING AND EVEN THOUGH I CASHED THE REFUND CHECK BECAUSE OF SEVERE HARDSHIP I FEEL I WAS WRONGED. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
