Prudential claims I owe them money when I don't
Prudential sent me a letter stating that I have been over paid of 5k and would need to pay that back. Then I will be able to receive the rest of my checks that are due to me. But I don’t feel this is right. So every month now I receive a letter each month from Prudential showing my check I am to have, but it shows all the deductions taken out I supposedly owe them and it always shows a 0 amount every time.

Dalene, What is the nature of the overpayment? They should have put it in writing – if not – demand it as such. It is not uncommon for a carrier to apply the monthly benefit to an overpayment and then begin the benefit once it is satisfied.
