Question

It's been a year and Prudential hasn't asked for a review. What can I do to go him approved?

I am the wife of a recipient of Prudential ltd who also receives SSD. My husband is not cognitively able to do correspondence such as this so I do it on his behalf. My husband has atypical tuberculosis unresponsive to conventional treatment because having the treatment almost killed him. he also suffers from occipital trigeminal neuralgia for which he receives direct injections as needed from his neurologist. He has herniated discs in his spine–in the neck and lower back and suffers chronic pain from this. He was injured in a car wreck years ago that has only gotten worse with age. he sees a pain management dr for this condition. it was his disabling condition from the military. he also has diabetic peripheral neuropathy in all of his extremities. My husband doesn’t drive due to a history of multiple TIAs as well as sedating side effects of his medications. he developed these TIA’s after he was diagnosed with avascular necrosis. he has since had both hips replaced. He has NASH that is stable at this point. he also is being treated for anxiety and depression. it’s been a year and prudential hasn’t asked for a review. is there something I should be doing that will make his 2 year review approved? I realize that the work standard is really strict. Is it more strict than that of SSD?

Deb, Please feel free to contact our office to discuss your husbands claim. There is a lot that goes into any review for continued benefits into the any occupation period and a conversation would probably be the best avenue to discuss.
