For the first time since I can remember my employer did not offer STD as one of my paid benefits so I’m paying for this policy. Had to file a claim on 6-14-25. Went through the 14 day waiting period, used all accrued PTO time. Never heard anything from MetLife once claim was filed until I called regarding my wages being listed as $1 hourly and I received a $50 check. This is the first and last time I’ve spoken to my case manager to let her know that my wages were incorrect. She said they were waiting for a response from employer regarding my wages and once they receive that they will issue me a check for back pay. Salary was approved and put in my MetLife portal only to receive another $25 today and was told I had to wait another week to receive the pay. WOW IS THAT WHAT IM SUPPOSED TO TELL THE ELECTRIC COMPANY. If they have indeed corrected the issue by the time they issue me a 3 week back pay it will be 4 weeks total. I just find this to be BS as I know someone has the authority to issue funds when they want.
