My LTD company says I owe them money now
I am in SSDI and have a LTD policy through a United Healthcare. In June notified them my last dependant had aged out on my SSDi and they told me to send them paperwork and they would modify my LTD. They said it would be increased over $500 a month and they would back pay me. I waited 9 months and last week they called and said they found a 9 year error and they were keeping my backpay ($5000+) and I now owed them $3200. Do I just pay it or appeal? Or negotiate?

A nine year error seems outrageous. I would appeal the United Healthcare disability offset. There is something known as a statute of limitations and they should be prohibited from going back 9 years. They may be able to go back 3-5 years depending on what your disability policy states.
