Question

My mother has a John Hancock Long Term Care policy. She is in an assisted living facility in the memory care unit. Her claim has been denied.

She can be very good at times but also very bad. She called the facility she is in told them she was living at home and would like to come see the facility for a walk through tp possibly move there. Sometimes she thinks the is at college taking courses but actually is in the facility. She thinks everyone is stealing from her. John Hancocks conclusion was that she qualified for one ADL but not a second so she was just denied her claim. Its an older policy she has paid for it for the past 25 years and has a strong benefit. She has cognitive issues and I believe she should qualify but insurance carriers do what they can to not pay a claim. If this is something you specialize in I'd like to speak with you.

We have handled cases against John Hancock as it relates to their Long Term Care policies. Please contact our office to discuss the matter further. We will need to see a copy of the denial letter and policy to be able to best assess how we can be of assistance.
