Question

I need help understanding what MMI means in my case. I also need help because I have also been diagnosed with PTSD related to my head injury from the same accident.

On March 9, 2020, I was injured at The Boeing Co. in Washinton after 32.5 years with the company. I fell down a flight a stairs, fracturing my left wrist, hitting my head, having multiple hematomas, and hurting my neck. I have CRPS in my left arm. I was diagnosed in 2022 with Mild to Major Neurocognitive Disorder secondary to traumatic brain injury from this work-related accident. I have been unable to return to work since. I've been struggling daily with this wrist injury, and trying to focus and understand things. I can no longer type, climb ladders, crawl, I am scared to go down stairs, and anything related using my left arm. I can no longer drive because of my neck. Sedgwick is who we are dealing with. They are trying to return me to work, and I feel that it is not possible to do so with all the issues listed above.

Rhonda, you have a complicated situation and we would need to review your STD/LTD coverage certificates before we could provide any specific response to your situation. You can request from your employer (HR) or Sedgwick. Once you have them, I suggest you contact our office and speak with one of the attorneys to discuss in more detail your circumstances and your options. If this is a Worker’s Compensation issue, you would need to contact a WC attorney to assist/answer any questions.
