Attorney Gregory Dell

Gregory Michael Dell is a Partner and the Managing Attorney of Dell Disability Lawyers. He represents claimants throughout all stages (applications, denials, appeals, litigation, & lump-sum policy buyouts) of a claim for individual or group (ERISA) long-term disability benefits.

Gregory Dell received his B.S./B.A. in Accounting at Washington University in St. Louis and his J.D. from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law in New York City. Following law school, Mr. Dell worked as an Assistant State Attorney in Broward County, Florida, handling thousands of cases and trying over 50 jury trials.

In the civil arena, Mr. Dell has spent his entire career fighting for individuals against insurance companies. Under his leadership, Dell Disability Lawyers has recovered over $2 billion in disability benefits for clients nationwide. He has personally litigated against every major disability insurance company in federal courts across the country.

In 2006, Mr. Dell was selected by Thomson Reuters to co-author Florida Insurance Law and Practice (West’s Florida Practice Series, Vol. 17), authoring the chapter on disability insurance law. The book is published annually and is used by attorneys and judges nationwide as a source on insurance law. Mr. Dell’s articles on long-term disability benefits have been published nationally in the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Journal, South Florida Hospital News, Plastic Surgery Practice, and other publications.

Mr. Dell has been a featured guest on the Wall Street Journal Radio Network, CBS New York and WFAN Radio, the New York Governor Paterson Radio Show, and numerous other radio programs discussing disability insurance issues. He has been a guest speaker at the American Bar Association Insurance Conference and has lectured at the National Disability Insurance Claim Conference and the National Business Institute.

Mr. Dell is licensed in Florida, the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, Texas, and New York, and is admitted to multiple federal district courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He was appointed Vice Chairperson of the American Bar Association’s Health and Disability Insurance Law Committee and is a member of the American Association for Justice and the American Health Lawyers Association.

Outside the practice of law, Mr. Dell is a husband and father of three boys. He believes exercise is a key part of a healthy life and, while others might consider his fitness pursuits extreme, he’s serious about it. He has finished the Ironman Florida triathlon, five Half-Ironman triathlons and many marathons including New York City, Chicago and San Diego.
