Episode 7 MetLife Disability Insurance Company

MetLife has more than 50,000 employees, revenues in excess of $40 billion dollars and is one of the top three largest group long term disability insurance companies in the world. MetLife is no stranger when it comes to denying and defending their decisions in court.

In this episode disability insurance attorneys Gregory Dell, Stephen Jessup and Cesar Gavidia of Attorneys Dell & Schaefer discuss MetLife Disability Insurance Company and their handling of long term disability insurance claims.

You will learn about several different disability cases in which MetLife denied long term disability benefits and the court reversed MetLife’s denial. The case of most interest involves a MetLife claimant that had his disability benefits denied after undergoing three back surgeries and receiving payment from MetLife for approximately 10 years.

If you have had any kind of experience with MetLife that you would like to share with the thousands of disability claimants that visit our website each month, we encourage you to post your comments about your experience.

Please note: Disability insurance attorney Gregory Michael Dell created Disability Insurance Law TV in order to educate long term disability claimants about common issues related to long term disability insurance claims. Sonya:

MetLife is horrible! Unfortunately, the insurance companies are out to get paid from the consumers and never yield when someone is really hurt. Hard to believe that an STD claim could be denied for someone in Intensive care. Wow! Now, someone should just sue for that and see how many millions MetLife has to pay out as opposed to bringing in the revenue!
